Hair extension Methods
There are quite a few hair extension methods that you can do yourself or ask a friend to help. The most popular is clip in extensions, its not permanent but reusable. For a more permanent application, you can glue wefts/tracks to the roots of your hair. This methods may get messy! So you might ask a friend for help. Another permanent application is to have it sewn in, You cannot do this yourself. it involves cornrowing and sewing the tracks to the braids, depending on the texture of your hair you may even need to add a piece of synthetic hair to keep it from falling out and for a tighter hold. A few other permanent Methods are called cold fusion. this is a strand by strand hair extension method. The hair is pre tipped and each strand of hair is attached to your natural hair using a maching to fuse your hair with the extension or using micro ring beads. Another Method which is my favorite is TAPE, I used a brand called Hotheads They are designed with NO returns so theres no matting, frizzing or tangling! It will feel more like your natural hair. Hotheads Hair Extensions are reusable, quick & and affordable.

how to get the ombre color look
First off What is Ombré?
This gradual merging of shades (or color bleeding) is both elegant and feminine. Unlike the hippie tie-dye, there is a much smoother transition between colors. The color bleeding can be used to create a dramatic look or a soft one, depending on the graduated strength of the dye effect.
Basically, The contrast between the lightly colored hair ends and the dark roots is no longer a sign of unkempt hair color and perfection is no longer a necessary attribute.

The Birds Nest Bun
It first appeared on the Lanvin spring 2010 runway, It can be a little wispy, a little messy; but it's elegant. Thus, it's a runway hair trend that we've already seen translated to the red carpet. This birds nest bun can be made as messy and as big as you want and you can dress it up by adding an elegant hairband or a braided extension hair band which you can find at any Peninsula Beauty Supply store. To create this birds nest bun follow these simple steps where all you will need is a little mousse, a pony tail holder, a fine tooth comb, bobby pins & some hairspray. Below you can watch a step by step How To Video
- Pull the hair up into a very high ponytail on the top of the head.
- Divide the ponytail into several sections then tease each section with a comb, creating lots of volume and texture.
- Brush the ponytail out just a little bit to even out the texture, then wrap the hair around the ponytail to create a messy bun.
- Secure with bobby pins all the way around.
- spray the hair with Hair spray and Voila you have your very own birds nest bun.
- Finally you may add a head band if you like or a braid hair band if you like or anything else that may dress up this look for a formal evening. ex: Prom or Wedding
